Herpes Simplex 1 - Herpes Simplex 2 - HSV-2, HSV-1
HSV-1 and HSV-2 are two types of viral infection, better known as herpes. The HSV-1 virus usually infects the neck, face, mouth, eyes and the central nervous system. The HSV-2 virus usually infects tissues and organs of the urogenital tract. Main symptom of the disease, caused by HSV-2 or HSV-1, is blisters and sores on the skin or mucous membranes.
